A decisão gerou críticas da Rússia, que pede que o acusado seja enviado de volta ao país.

Federal Judge Blocks Oil Companies From Drilling In Arctic Waters

Since the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon offshore drilling rig in April, all eyes have been on BP and the growing disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, but this uncomfortable exposure hasn't stopped big oil and gas companies from continuing their destructive practices in other parts of the country. Thanks to federal judge's recent decision, however, they will be forced to suspend their plans for developing oil and gas wells on billions of dollars in leases in the Arctic waters of the Chukchi Sea.
Aid ships from Lebanon won't reach Gaza: Israel

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Israel warned the United Nations on Thursday that two ships preparing to sail from Lebanon to the Gaza Strip to bring aid to the blockaded territory would not be allowed to reach their destination. "The stated intention of these vessels is to violate the existing naval blockade of Gaza," Israel's U.N. Ambassador Gabriela Shalev said in a letter to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Nigerian Ambassador Joy Ogwu, the current president of the Security Council.
